The Subject
Professor David Caplin, of Imperial College, launched the meeting. His keynote presentation reviewed the properties of magnesium diboride achieved to date, and included some experimental results from a new process which significantly improves the current-carrying capacity of magnesium diboride conductors; well into the commercially-useful range.
